to
Riverport, Nova Scotia)
The Trinity Fiddlers were formed in 2008 under the
leadership of Maureen Mossman. Originally beginning as simply a group of
friends who started playing together for fun in each others' living rooms,
it quickly started to grow as more and more people heard about the musical
gatherings. With the arrival of Reverend Ron Frampton at the Trinity
United Church, who also played the fiddle, the players moved to a larger
venue, gathering at the church hall to practice. As the numbers grew, and
with a home location to play out of, the group gained the name the
"Trinity Fiddlers."

Currently, the Trinity Fiddlers consist of seventeen members. On guitar
are: Mary Ann Bennett, Wendy De Marco, Jeanie Laursen, Alice Patrick and Dave Patrick.
Playing flute is Brenda Fitzgerald. Maureen Mossman plays both keyboards
and fiddle, while Brenda Colp, Eldon Cooper, Geoff Zinck, Jane Tanner, Susie Slaunwhite, Marilyn Collie,
Linda Coles, Annie Kemp, Judy Smits, and Rev. Ron Frampton all join in on
fiddle. Art Coles playing the bass.
This eclectic group play numerous genres of music, including Down East
Style Fiddling, Religious music, and original works by members of the
group. Practices are held once weekly on Tuesdays in the Trinity United
Church hall at 9:30am. Their concert venues include senior's homes,
churches and special concerts. New members are always welcome.
