Community Pot Luck

Some 80 residents of Riverport and area communities gathered for a
wonderful potluck supper at the Riverport Community Centre on Sunday March
7, 2010. There was a great spread of delicious dishes, both hot and cold,
followed by desserts, tea and coffee.
Seniors 75 and older were invited to come for the meal, discussion and
fellowship without having to bring a dish.
A running slide show of historic pictures and some new ones provided a
catalyst for memories and discussion. This was the first community event,
after the inaugural meeting of January 27, 2010, organized by the
Community Development Committee of the Riverport and District Board of
Trade.
The food and fellowship were enjoyed by all - hopefully there will be more
community gatherings in the future.
