Come join us in celebrating Canada's Birthday in Riverport!
Follow the parade to the Community Centre for the Flag
Raising Ceremony to honour the birthday of Canada!
Schedule of Events
11:00am - Fish and Scallop Fry
Come and partake of the famous Fish Fry at the Riverport Fire Hall.
Delicious fresh haddock and scallops,
fried cooked by our expert firemen. A very popular event in the
region.
1:30pm - Parade
Canada Day Parade forms on Kingsburg Road a bit south of Hwy 332 crossing
at 1:00 PM. Parade begins
at 1:30 PM. Parade ends at Riverport Community Centre with a Flag Raising
ceremony and a birthday cake. Come
and cheer the Parade participants, spend time with friends and neighbours.
Don't miss the Fabulous Fish Fry at
the Firehall.
2:00pm - Flag Raising Ceremony
Join us in Celebrating Canada’s Birthday in Riverport! Follow the parade
to the Community Centre for the
Flag Raising Ceremony to Honour Canada's Birthday. Enjoy FREE
Hotdogs and Birthday Cake and walk down
memory lane with a special visual presentation!
9:30pm - Fireworks
At dusk,
Cap off the day of events with fireworks at dusk enjoy the Fireworks at
the Riverport bridge as safely
launched by our trusty firemen.
