Colon Cancer Awareness

In Early September of 2000, we were asked to participate in a nation-wide radio campaign to promote Colon Cancer Awareness. Cancer survivor Marie-Ellen Black approached Toronto Maple Leafs great Daryl Sittler, whose wife Wendy is also a colon cancer survivor, to record a couple of radio spots. Daryl, Wendy and NHL referee Paul Stewart (also a survivor) all ended up contributing voice-overs.

Marie-Ellen then contacted Dave Hillier, ECMA award winning sound engineer (who engineered our Ritcey's Cove CD project) and the rest is history.

We like to think that in order to find enough people with the gumption to sing "bum-bum-bum-bum" on 450 radio stations nation-wide, the producers had to come all the way to Riverport to get the job done properly!
